During my quiet time with the Lord today. I read Psalm 12 and Proverbs 12. I was lead to do so since today is 12/12/12. :)
Reading those verses took me back to the wicked things which happened to me in the Air Force. But God promises to keep me safe from the wicked and overthrow the wicked. I know my novel, which is based on actual events, needs to be told. It will bring healing and awareness to many. Unfortunately, military sexual assault and harassment is an all to common occurance which is seldom spoken about.
Despite the horror I survived, I still cherish the time I served in the military. The Air Force isn't evil, yet there is evil within the Air Force. It is time for that to change! I will do my part by telling my story. The rest is up to our government leaders.
